Poetry as Art Form
Thoughts and Opinions on Poetry from a Mad Writer
" Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting with the gift of speech."-- Simonides
Poets use a pen in the same way that artists use a brush. A poet starts with a blank canvas and unto it he/she paints a masterpiece with words. Since beauty is in the eye of the beholder, readers of poetry will have a difference of opinion as to what they consider to be works of art. Personally speaking, I admire the work of all poets.
