English Wikipedia reaches one million articles


Congratulations to Wikipedia. Today, at 23:09 UTC, wikipedia published their one millionth article. Wikipedia the free encyclopedia has become the second-most visited reference site on the internet. According to an article by Gerard Meijssen, Wikipedia now is more popular than Microsoft's Encarta or The New York Times Company's About.com.
